Jane Hoffman

Prior to ALI, Jane Hoffman was a long-serving public official in New York. She was commissioner of both public authority reform for New York State and the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, commission member of the NYC Fund for Public Advocacy, on the advisory commission of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor. Earlier she was a CNN producer and Salomon Brothers financial analyst.

Jane founded and chaired the Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy and co-authored Green: Your Place in the New Energy Revolution, which outlines a renewable energy policy and plan for the U.S. She is a trustee of Northwestern University, and has been a director of the Museum of the City of New York, Childless Mothers Adopt, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, and The Leadership Forum.
