Kelley McKinnon

Prior to ALI, Kelley McKinnon was deputy general counsel, chief regulatory officer, and the past capital markets chief compliance officer for BMO Financial Group, one of Canada’s big five banking groups. Earlier, she was a partner at two of Canada’s leading law firms: at Gowlings, she headed the firm’s securities litigation and regulatory practice, and at Fasken, she was vice chair of litigation and co-lead of the health law group.

Kelley’s public service includes roles as senior deputy commissioner of Canada’s Competition Bureau, a federal law enforcement agency ensuring competitive markets, and chief counsel for the Ontario Securities Commission, the provincial securities legislation regulatory agency. She is vice chair of the board of trustees of Queen’s University and serves on multiple board oversight committees at the University.
