Marc Porter

Marc Porter brings to ALI senior leadership experience in the arts, working with foundations, ministries of cultural affairs, and museums. He has worked for almost 30 years in increasingly senior roles at Christie’s, the world’s leading arts business, most recently as Chairman, Americas. Through auctions, he raised over $1 billion for philanthropy since 2018, and he is the inaugural chair of Christie’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and its American Advisory Board.

Marc is committed to service and social responsibility, especially around urban development, the environment, and LGBTQ rights and representation. He is a trustee of the New York Botanical Garden and the American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the most socially progressive contemporary art museum in Israel. He has served on the Boards of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Alliance for the Arts, NYC.
