Lynn Margherio

Lynn Margherio brings to ALI a distinguished career as a social entrepreneur and policy leader dedicated to advancing equity for under-resourced communities. She is the founder of Cradles to Crayons, the nation’s largest nonprofit focused on children’s clothing insecurity, where she scaled the organization and provided over one million packages to children annually across multiple cities. Under Lynn’s leadership, Cradles to Crayons consistently earned top nonprofit rankings and engaged hundreds of thousands of volunteers and partners, including Fortune 500 companies and major philanthropic institutions. Earlier, she helped launch and lead the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative, which dramatically lowered treatment costs and expended access in dozens of countries. Lynn began her career shaping policy at the White House Domestic Policy Council and the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she led early federal research on the digital economy.
