2026 ALI Fellow
Matthew Yeo brings to ALI more than two decades of expertise in international law, with a focus on trade and dispute resolution. As a partner at Steptoe LLP, he founded and led one of the world’s only dedicated World Trade Organization (WTO) practice groups, advising governments in over 40 WTO dispute settlement proceedings. Matthew’s work has spanned high-profile cases across multiple continents, including matters involving trade and climate policy, technology, subsidies, and international treaty compliance. He has also counseled governments on the negotiation of major trade agreements, such as the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
