Mark Michael

Mark Michael brings to ALI experience bootstrapping a start-up into a market leader. Together with his brother, he founded Occasions Caterers, growing it into the country’s largest off-premise caterer with additional vertical businesses including event staffing, corporate catering, and the industry’s most widely licensed software catering platform. Mark also has extensive for-profit board experience.

Mark has been a director of Washington, D.C.’s Higher Achievement Program, a nonprofit educational enrichment program for under-performing D.C. public schools; D.C. Central Kitchen, a social enterprise combating hunger and poverty; and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, a global educational nonprofit focused on bringing the power of entrepreneurship to youth in low-income communities.
