Gary Vogel brings to ALI a career of leadership experience in the global maritime shipping industry. Gary served as chief executive officer of Eagle Bulk Shipping and held senior leadership roles at Clipper Group and Van Ommeren Bulk Shipping, overseeing global shipping operations, restructuring initiatives, and international commercial strategy. His work focused on operational transformation, ESG integration, maritime logistics, and governance across the shipping sector, including efforts to modernize fleet operations and support seafarer welfare.

Gary serves on corporate and advisory boards connected to sustainability, maritime standards, and leadership development, including SFL Corporation and Pangaea Logistics Solutions Ltd. He also supports ESG-focused initiatives through ACK Smart and remains active in mentoring and leadership organizations. Earlier in his career, he served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve.
