Roberta Herman brings to ALI experience in healthcare leadership, population health, and healthcare transformation across provider, payer, and public sectors. Roberta served as president and CEO of Joslin Diabetes Center, executive director of Massachusetts’ Group Insurance Commission, and chief operating officer and chief medical officer at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Her work focused on healthcare quality, value-based care, digital health, organizational transformation, and the development of innovative models to improve patient outcomes and system performance.

Roberta serves on healthcare, policy, and nonprofit boards focused on diabetes care, women’s leadership, and healthcare innovation. She has contributed to organizations including the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review, the Diatribe Foundation, the International Women’s Forum, and Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. Roberta also mentors healthcare leaders and students and remains active in healthcare quality and leadership development initiatives.
